A new version of Vice City

One of the biggest attractions of GTA 6 is the return to Vice City.

The familiar location has been rebuilt for a new generation, with Rockstar expanding the world beyond the city itself. Players will be able to explore different environments across Leonida, including urban areas, highways, beaches and more rural locations.

The world is designed to feel more alive, with pedestrians, vehicles and activities constantly creating movement around the player.

More realistic gameplay

The new footage highlights Rockstar's focus on making GTA 6 feel more realistic.

Character animations, facial expressions, vehicle physics and environmental details have all received major upgrades. The game also features a wide range of activities that go beyond the main storyline.

Players can explore the world, take part in different recreational activities and interact with the environment in more ways than before.

Police chases and crime

Police encounters have always been an important part of Grand Theft Auto, and GTA 6 appears to take the system further.

The footage shows more detailed police responses and intense chase sequences, adding another layer to the game's criminal gameplay.

Players will once again have to think carefully about how they approach crimes and escape from law enforcement.

A more immersive open world

Rockstar is also focusing heavily on making Leonida feel like a living world.

NPCs have more varied behaviours and activities, while the environment contains a greater level of detail. From busy city streets to beaches and highways, different parts of the map are designed to have their own atmosphere.

Social media and internet culture also appear to play a role in the world, continuing Rockstar's tradition of satirising modern society.

When will GTA 6 release?

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The extended look has given fans their clearest picture yet of what Rockstar is building. With its expanded world, new characters and upgraded technology, GTA 6 is shaping up to be one of the biggest gaming releases of 2026.
